We take a comfortable, easy approach to photo sessions. Our goal is to capture carefully crafted images side by side with happy surprises as we move through our shoot. You'll find it a relaxing, enjoyable, low-stress experience.

Be a Junior or Senior.

Be energetic, motivated, positive, and have fun! You must sign a model release if over 18, and it's always a good idea to consult with your parents. If under 18, a release must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. In either case, it's our studio policy to always meet the parents during our initial consultation. A signed release gives permission to Sweethaven Seniors and Greg Nikas to use your images for marketing and promotion of Sweethaven Seniors, Sweethaven Studio and Greg Nikas Photography. This is a legal issue. We can not photograph you without a signed release.

HAIR AND MAKEUP

We HIGHLY recommend you get your hair and makeup done by a professional stylist before your session so you can look your very best. Makeup is an important component on how your finished photos will look. If you don’t know a stylist, we can recommend one from Newburyport who will come to the shoot and give you their undivided attention for your session. This is a big plus for you as your hair and makeup will remain fresh for your entire session. The cost for this optional service will vary depending on who is available for your shoot, and is paid directly to the stylist. We also suggest that you not try anything new with your hair before your session. Stay with the color and style you are comfortable with to insure you will be happy with your photos.

Photo shoots can take place in and around your home, or at a location of your choice in and around the Newburyport area.

It's a good idea to have more than one change of clothes. Solid colors & earth tones always work best, along with that favorite piece of clothing you just love to be seen in. Include some fun accessories such as scarves, hats and jewlery.

Your parents, your best friend, your second best friend, your third best friend! You get the idea.

PLEASE NOTE: A parent is mandatory.

HOME & LOCATION SESSIONS take 2 to 3 hours. In either case, it's a matter of capturing that special moment.

Yes. We photograph with high end professional digital cameras. These cameras capture a wide range of information that includes both color and B&W.

Yes. Retouching is included on all images you order at no additional charge, although some restrictions apply.

Your portrait session will be rescheduled for the next available date agreed upon, unless it's an inside session.

Yes. In order for us to maintain a high level of quality, it is important that we control the reproduction of our work. After your session is complete and your year book photo has been uploaded to your school, you will have access to our store where you will be able to purchase prints individually in a variety of sizes, framed, framed and matted, acrylic glass prints, flat and note cards for your graduation announcement, along with a variety of other print products.

Because of the custom nature of print orders, full payment is due at the time you place your on-line order.

Yes. After your session is complete and you have chosen your final images, you will have access to our on-line store where you can order a variety of printed items.

In some cases yes, as long as you request changes before you place your on-line order.

Once you have access to our on-line store, you will be able to order as many prints of a single image easily and quickly.

No. Only the images presented to you in your Client Gallery and the images ordered will be saved to our archives. However, we offer no guarantee that they will be available at a future date, even though we have multiple backup copies and do everything possible to insure the security of our backups.

Yes. Once you have chosen your final images, including the year book photo, and the 4 free low-res web jpegs which are include in your session, you will be able to access our on-line store to purchase hi-res image files for print or additional low-res web images for use on line / social media.
